audacity of hopeThe purpose of this positive black brothers web site is to be a portal or information source for black males to pursue careers. These careers include, but will not be limited to occupations that are achieved through 6 months to 2 years of training. These fields usually award their students with certifications and/or licenses.

Another purpose for this web site is to keep a running dialog about issues that can prevent or slow down the process for personal growth.

Finally, the current and future contributors to this site hope to be able to help any black male overcome many of the personal, financial, and social issues and challenges that they may face.

This site will provide direct links to resources necessary to get started, self preparation info and a job bank. The initial careers will include the IT fields.

Many black males are forced out of advanced occupations because of economic conditions. This can be another source of info for those serious individuals who want to set a positive career path. Of course part of the self preparation info will be taking care of child support issues, tickets, judgments, etc.

There will be a job bank installed in the summer of 2009, where you can view current offerings and place online resumes in the IT field.
